Gomez, places 2nd at MinnYak Fishing Tournament

Could not have asked for a better weekend. I didn’t get a chance to pre-fish for this tournament, and only ever fished Lake Minnetonka one other time before I got into bass fishing. So since I was not able to practice, I did a lot of map research on Google Earth to get and understanding of the lake.

The Fire Craw color seemed to be the most popular for everyone on Saturday and that’s mostly what I stayed with until the sun came out and shut off the bite for me. Wacky rigging produced a lot but unfortunately, on the shorter side. Overall a great tournament. These anglers I fished against are dang good. Knowledgeable and great people in general.

Next stop is in Chisago City and I’m definitely looking forward to that!
